Service Pattern in each Congregation

The main Sunday service is the Holy Eucharist. This takes place at 11am every Sunday. In the event that a priest is unavailable, Communion will be offered from the Reserved Sacrament, from a previous Celebration of the Eucharist.

If there is a fifth Sunday in the month there is a combined service with St. Andrew’s, Tain. The location of the service alternates between Dornoch and Tain. Details as to where this will be held are to be found in Service News posts.

There is a midweek service of Prayers for Peace (1st Wednesday of the month), Morning Prayer or the Distribution of Communion from the Reserved Sacrament at 10.30am on Wednesday morning.

Tain

The main Sunday service is the Holy Eucharist. This takes place at 11am every Sunday. In the event that a priest is unavailable, Communion will be offered from the Reserved Sacrament, from a previous Celebration of the Eucharist.

If there is a fifth Sunday in the month there is a combined service with St. Finnbarr’s, Dornoch. The location of the service alternates between Tain and Dornoch. Details as to where this will be held are to be found in Service News posts.

There is a midweek service of Communion at 6pm on Thursday evening.

Lairg

The main Sunday service is the Holy Eucharist. This takes place at 8.15am on the first, third and fifth Sundays of each month. In the event that a priest is unavailable, Communion will be offered from the Reserved Sacrament, from a previous Celebration of the Eucharist.

Brora

St. Columba’s Church will restart regular service after a Rededication Service on 28th September 2019. From 29th September, there will be a service each Sunday. The monthly pattern of worship is that the first, third and fifth Sundays will be at 6:00pm and the on the second and fourth Sundays at 9:00am. The service on the fourth Sunday will be a Eucharist, whilst those on the other Sundays will be Services of the Word.  The service on the first Sunday will include prayers for healing, and laying on of hands and anointing will be offered.

Crask Inn

A regular Eucharist is held on the third Thursday of the month at noon  at the Crask Inn, between Lairg and Altnaharra.  There is also a Eucharist on the first Saturday evening each month at 5:00pm led by Bishop Mark – further details available from the Crask Web Site and Facebook Page.

Ardgay

House Eucharist at Hollybank (Liz and Buster Crabb’s house) on the second Tuesday of the month at 10:30am. In the event that a priest is unavailable, Communion will be offered from the Reserved Sacrament, from a previous Celebration of the Eucharist.
