Service Pattern in each Congregation

The main Sunday service is the Holy Eucharist. This takes place at 11am every Sunday. In the event that a priest is unavailable, Communion will be offered from the Reserved Sacrament, from a previous Celebration of the Eucharist.

If there is a fifth Sunday in the month there is a combined service with St. Andrew’s, Tain. The location of the service alternates between Dornoch and Tain. Details as to where this will be held are to be found in Service News posts.

There is a midweek service of Prayers for Peace (1st Wednesday of the month), Morning Prayer or the Distribution of Communion from the Reserved Sacrament at 10.30am on Wednesday morning.

Tain

The main Sunday service is the Holy Eucharist. This takes place at 11am every Sunday. In the event that a priest is unavailable, Communion will be offered from the Reserved Sacrament, from a previous Celebration of the Eucharist.

If there is a fifth Sunday in the month there is a combined service with St. Finnbarr’s, Dornoch. The location of the service alternates between Tain and Dornoch. Details as to where this will be held are to be found in Service News posts.

There is a midweek service of Communion (usually from the Reserved Sacrament) at 6pm on Thursday evening.

Lairg

The main Sunday service is the Holy Eucharist. This takes place at 8.15am on the first, third and fifth Sundays of each month. In the event that a priest is unavailable, Communion will be offered from the Reserved Sacrament, from a previous Celebration of the Eucharist.

Brora

St. Columba’s Church is currently closed, due to a fire in December 2016.  It has been restored internally and is being equipped ready to return to active use after a Rededication Service on 28th September 2019. The pattern of use for worship, and other activities, is still be be finalised but more details will be provided via this page and the details of the Rededication will appear as one of our Service Updates posts.

Crask Inn

A regular Eucharist is held on the third Thursday of the month at noon  at the Crask Inn, between Lairg and Altnaharra.  There is also a Eucharist on the first Saturday evening each month at 5:00pm led by Bishop Mark – further details available from the Crask Web Site and Facebook Page.

Ardgay

House Eucharist at Hollybank (Liz and Buster Crabb’s house) on the second Tuesday of the month at 10:30am. In the event that a priest is unavailable, Communion will be offered from the Reserved Sacrament, from a previous Celebration of the Eucharist.
