Service Pattern in each Congregation

The main Sunday service is the Holy Eucharist. This takes place at 11am every Sunday.

If there is a fifth Sunday in the month there is generally a combined service with St. Andrew’s, Tain. The location of the service alternates between Dornoch and Tain. Details as to where this will be held are to be found in Service Updates posts.

There is a midweek service on Wednesday morning at 10:30am.  The first Wednesday of the month this is generally Prayers for Peace, on the second Wednesday it is Communion from the Reserved Sacrament, the third Wednesday it is a service of Morning Prayer and on the fourth Wednesdays the Eucharist is celebrated.

Tain

The main Sunday service is the Holy Eucharist. This takes place at 11am every Sunday. In the event that a priest is unavailable, Communion will be offered from the Reserved Sacrament, from a previous Celebration of the Eucharist.

If there is a fifth Sunday in the month there is normally a combined service with St. Finnbarr’s, Dornoch. The location of the service alternates between Tain and Dornoch. Details as to where this will be held are to be found in Service Updates posts.

There is a midweek service of Communion at 6pm on Thursday evening, usually in the hall rather than the church.

Lairg

The main Sunday service is the Holy Eucharist. This takes place at 8.30am on the first, third and fifth Sundays of each month. In the event that a priest is unavailable, Communion will be offered from the Reserved Sacrament, from a previous Celebration of the Eucharist.

Brora

The Sunday service takes place at 4pm on alternate Sundays.  On the second Sundays there is a Service of Prayer and Healing and on the fourth Sundays of the month, the service is a Eucharist.  There are other services on specific occasions (see Service Updates for details).

Crask Inn

There is a regular Eucharist is held on the third Thursday of the month at noon  at the Crask Inn, between Lairg and Altnaharra.  There is usually a Eucharist on the first Saturday evening each month at 5:00pm led by Bishop Mark. Further details available from the Crask Web Site and Facebook Page.

Tongue

In normal times a regular Eucharist is held on the first Friday of the month at noon, in the village of Tongue on the North Coast of Sutherland.  These services will resume once it is possible to meet safely in a suitable venue.
