St. Mary-by-the-Cross

Until the COVID pandemic, the St. Mary-by-the-Cross congregation met on the first Friday of the month for worship at the Fir Chlis House of Prayer about a mile outside the village of Tongue. A number of things have changed since we last met and once it becomes possible to meet again, it is likely to be in a new location. St Mary’s has had a regular congregation of about 15-25, drawn from Christians of all denominations who meet to share in the Eucharist. Services have always been followed by a Bring-and-Share lunch accompanied by conversation and fellowship. If you are new to Tongue, Melness or Bettyhill or other parts of North Sutherland or are visiting, do get in touch.
