From 1st September – The Day of Creation, marking the start of the Orthodox Church Year – until 4th October – The Commemoration of St Francis of Assisi – the Worldwide Church marks the Season of Creation.
This is a time to renew our relationship with our Creator and all creation, through celebration and commitment to takes steps to honour all of Creation.
During the Season of Creation, we will join our sisters and brothers in the ecumenical family, in prayer and action for our common home. We also preach on the theme of Creation and hold Study Groups to which all are welcome.
God Most High,
maker of heaven and earth,
you created humankind in your own image
and entrusted the whole world to human care:
give us grace to serve you faithfully,
that we might be trustworthy stewards of your creation,
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Grace and Peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
