Service Pattern in each Congregation

The main Sunday service is the Holy Eucharist. This takes place at 11am every Sunday. In the event that a priest is unavailable, Communion will be offered from the Reserved Sacrament, from a previous Celebration of the Eucharist.

If there is a fifth Sunday in the month there is a combined service with St. Andrew’s, Tain. The location of the service alternates between Dornoch and Tain. Details as to where this will be held are to be found in Service News posts.

There is a midweek service on Wednesday morning at 10:30am, with the Church open for prayer from 10 until noon.  The first Wednesday of the month this Prayers for Peace, the third Wednesday it is a service of Morning Prayer and on the second and fourth Wednesdays it is Communion from the Reserved Sacrament.

Tain

The main Sunday service is the Holy Eucharist. This takes place at 11am every Sunday. In the event that a priest is unavailable, Communion will be offered from the Reserved Sacrament, from a previous Celebration of the Eucharist.

If there is a fifth Sunday in the month there is normally a combined service with St. Finnbarr’s, Dornoch. The location of the service alternates between Tain and Dornoch. Details as to where this will be held are to be found in Service News posts.

There is a midweek service of Communion at 6pm on Wednesday evening, usually in the hall rather than the church.

Lairg

The main Sunday service is the Holy Eucharist. This takes place at 8.30am on the first, third and fifth Sundays of each month. In the event that a priest is unavailable, Communion will be offered from the Reserved Sacrament, from a previous Celebration of the Eucharist.

Brora

The Sunday service takes place at 4pm on the second and fourth Sundays of the month.

Crask Inn

In normal times there is a regular Eucharist is held on the third Thursday of the month at noon  at the Crask Inn, between Lairg and Altnaharra.  There is also a Eucharist on the first Saturday evening each month at 5:00pm led by Bishop Mark – These services are suspended for the time being until indoor hospitality can open again and the distancing restriction is eased – further details available from the Crask Web Site and Facebook Page.

Tongue

In normal times a regular Eucharist is held on the first Friday of the month at noon, in the village of Tongue on the North Coast of Sutherland.  These services will resume once it is possible to meet safely in a suitable venue.
